Mole Removal

Moles (Nevi) are a common type of skin growth — small, dark brown spots caused by clusters of pigmented cells. Most moles are harmless, though monitoring them is an important step in detecting skin cancer, especially malignant melanoma.

If you are concerned about the appearance, nature, or change in any mole, professional removal is available for both aesthetic and health-related reasons.

Important notes:

  • We strongly advise against attempting to remove moles yourself or at non-medical establishments (salons, spas)
  • Mole removal must always be performed by a medically trained specialist in a controlled environment
  • We do not provide mole removal services for facial moles
  • Consultation fee: $50 with Dr. McDonald; only certain cases may be covered by OHIP
Skin Tag Removal

Skin tags (Acrochodron) are common, benign skin growths that look like small, soft balloons of hanging skin. They are completely harmless but can catch on clothing or jewelry and become bothersome, or be unwanted for cosmetic reasons.

While some skin tags fall off spontaneously, most persist once formed. Professional removal at our clinic is safe, quick, and precise.

Seborrheic Keratosis Removal

Seborrheic keratoses (sometimes called "granny warts") are among the most common noncancerous skin growths in older adults. They typically appear as brown, black, or tan growths with a waxy, "stuck-on" appearance.

While these growths are benign, many clients choose removal for cosmetic reasons or when they become irritated.

Important Safety Information

At Laser Aesthetics, all skin growth removal procedures are performed by Dr. McDonald — our supervising medical director with extensive dermatology experience. This ensures:

  • Accurate assessment of the nature of the growth
  • Safe removal in a sterile, medically controlled environment
  • Proper documentation and follow-up care
  • Identification of any growths that require further investigation
